Great for party favors!! In this case, I made 200 of these little jars for my wedding favors that will be placed at each place setting. WHAT A PAIN!!!!! Get a helper if you plan to do this many jars! It took me HOURS to tear, stamp, wrap the raffia, put candies in each and tie tags on and then package away! But it was fun and I can’t wait to see everyone’s reactions when they see them all in person!
Mini Mason Jars with hinge tops
Rolls of Raffia
Stamps of your choice
Roll of paper that is worn and easy to tear for the rugged look
Little candies – M&Ms, Reeses, Sweet Tarts, etc.
Take your paper and start tearing pieces that measure about 1.5″ x 3″
Punch a hole in the top so your raffia will fit through
Once the pieces are torn and punched, you can start stamping each one!! My stamped example is not available, since it’s a surprise and all!
When the paper is all prepped – torn, punched and stamped – you can start getting the candies in each jar. Only fill to the rim of the little jars because you will need plenty of room to close these jars. Seems like common sense, but it was difficult to get the right amount of M&Ms in there!! 67 in each jar to be exact!
Take the raffia and cut a strip that is about 2 feet long
Open the lid of the jars
Carefully wrap the raffia around the jar leaving long enough strings at each end so you can tie a double knot in it to keep it on the jar. Close the jar’s lid and place one of your tags on one of the strings and tie a knot and then make a bow.
They should look like this after:
Here’s another sneak peek of the some of the 200 jars I was working on for days!
Pretty easy to do!! Try it out! People love these little jars!!
